Quota Problems
|
|
| |
If someone sending email to you receives this message:
Hi. This is the qmail-send program at stlouis2.blueboxinternet.com.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.
<you@yourdomain.com>:
Recipient's mailbox is full, message returned to sender. (#5.2.2)
It means one of two things:
- Your website is over quota, usually caused by a buildup of old log files
- Your mailbox is over quota, usually caused by email stored on the server after using webmail
To fix this do the following:
- Login to your web panel and click 'log management' here you will see your log files, usually the access_log.processed
is the culprit, so delete this
- Login to webmail for the offending account and click folders, check the trash folder and the sent items folder,
delete any emails stored in these.
Your web panel will not immediately show the change in your quota usage, but your email account will now work
